This Stress Awareness Day, why not take a moment to check in with yourself, how are you really?
Life for a lot of us feels stressful and many of us just accept that ‘this is normal’.
Short term stress may be manageable but holding onto stress longer-term can have a damaging effect upon our health.
How do I know if my stress is normal?
Some signs that you’re reaching your maximum capacity for stress include:
Not feeling able to find time to do anything that gives you a sense of wellbeing.
Choosing convenience over things you enjoy, for example if you enjoy cooking but only have the time/energy to grab a ready-meal or take-away.
Feeling tired but sleeping badly - particularly waking up with a sense of dread for days on end.
Avoiding messaging people that you care about back (if you’re normally good at getting back to people.)
