Croeso and welcome, it’s lovely to have you here :)
Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen Mind are an independent mental health charity based in West Wales.
We’re proud to be part of a network of local Minds across England, Wales and the Channel Islands.
Our independence allows us to tailor our services to meet the specific needs of our local communities.
We raise our own funds and use these to support local people across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen.
Our Story
Like-minded people met in hospital while receiving treatment for their mental health.
They were feeling better but didn’t know if that would continue once they went back home…
Groups were formed, to support one another, a safe space, to listen, to share without judgement, to focus on wellbeing.
The groups evolved and became charities, with the original ethos at the heart of it all.
In 2023 we merged to become Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen Mind.
Many of our services are provided across both counties, while some are specific to one area.
Services provided are listed by location on the site to make finding support near you as easy as possible.

No referral needed, we’d love to meet you. If you would prefer to complete a referral form for yourself, you can do it here.
Do I need a referral?
No appointment needed, you can drop into any one of our centres during opening times which are listed here.
Do I need an appointment?
I don’t have a diagnosis, can you still help?
Absolutely! Our support and activities are for anyone who’d like to improve their wellbeing.
I’m worried I’m not ill enough to access support…
There’s no threshold– we support people at whatever point they’re at. We always recommend seeking support as soon as you. Don’t wait until crisis point.
Everything you tell us is confidential, unless we’re concerned that you may hurt yourself or someone else. This is the same approach as your GP takes.
Are you confidential?
Nothing. Our services are all free.
How much do I have to pay?
Do I have to tell everyone my problems?
That’s up to you, sharing helps some people, others prefer distraction.
If I donate to you, is it split with other Minds?
Donations to Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen Mind are used to support local people across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. You can donate directly to us here.
No it doesn’t. Donations to Mind and Mind Cymru are held with them.
