Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen Mind are an independent mental health charity based in West Wales.

We’re proud to be part of a network of local Minds across England, Wales and the Channel Islands.

Our independence allows us to tailor our services to meet the specific needs of our local communities.

We raise our own funds and use these to support local people across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen.

Our Story

Like-minded people met in hospital while receiving treatment for their mental health.

They were feeling better but didn’t know if that would continue once they went back home…

Groups were formed, to support one another, a safe space, to listen, to share without judgement, to focus on wellbeing.

The groups evolved and became charities, with the original ethos at the heart of it all.

In 2023 we merged to become Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen Mind.

Many of our services are provided across both counties, while some are specific to one area.

Services provided are listed by location on the site to make finding support near you as easy as possible.
